(SBSI) employees took time out of their otherwise busy weekends to help out those in need. This quarter, the employees volunteered at the St. Vincent de Paul Village kitchen, located in downtown San Diego. SBSI helped the kitchen make and serve lunch to the individuals in the program. The St. Vincent de Paul Village offers a place to stay for homeless men, women and children, or individuals merely down on their luck and a chance to start over. The variety of services that St. Vincent proffers range from adult education, family counseling and childcare, all centered on helping the individuals and families in turning their lives around. The employees of SBSI enjoyed their time with the other volunteers and the members of the program and look forward to volunteering for St. Vincent again soon.
