Walking and Rolling for a Good Cause
By: Lacey Shaw SBSI Walks for UCP Several Shaw Binary Systems, Inc. (SBSI) employees and their spouses took one of their hard earned Saturdays off to take part in the 21st Annual Unity Walk & Roll this past October. The event was a 5k (3.1 mile) walk around San Diego's Mission Bay to raise money for the United Cerebral Palsy (UCP). The monies donated went to help the UCP's local aquatics program as well as several other local programs, including: supported employment and the toy library. The SBSI team enjoyed getting out and showing their support for a good cause. They look forward to next October's "Walk and Roll" and hope to get all of the employees involved; making the goal to increase the amount of money raised for the UCP an easier task.
